Autumn in Halifax

just might be the best we have to offer, plaintive vocals + delicate guitar coalesce in traditional song forms that still manage to draw upon all manner of atmospherics- all sinewy and strained, Merulla's voice serves him well, where words spin and collect like leaves giving in to the wind. Instrumentally speaking, Autumn in Halifax is centered around Merulla's textural guitar playing. This is music of subtle gestures. But those gestures carry the weight of the world.
